During the COVID-19 pandemic a majority of schools were forced to close their doors and practice distance learning. This left many teachers in new, uncharted territory and scrambling for material to use with their students. Fortunately the online arena is one that Standard Motor Products Pro Training team has been familiar with since 2008 when we began our Pro Training On-Demand program.
SMP has committed to using its engineering and manufacturing expertise to provide support to the healthcare community during this exceptional time. Our Temperature Control Division has delivered heat exchangers for oxygen concentrators and oxygen generators, key components used in the production of medical ventilators.
In February we held a blood drive at our corporate headquarters in Long Island City and the turn out was amazing!
Employees and their family members participated in sorting and organizing donated items for the Mishawaka Food Pantry.
On October 23rd, we had 17 employees volunteer and make a great impact on the waterfront in LIC in partnership with Hunters Point Park Conservancy (HPPC).
During the fall months of 2019, Edwardsville was very busy trying to do our fair share for the local community!
The SMP Project Shoebox drive 2019 was a huge success! We are overwhelmed with the response from both co-workers and management in supporting the Shoebox project this year and want to say a massive thank you!
Lewisville employees participated in a donation drive for the local school district's Teachers Pantry.
SMP has done it again! The Activities Committee (AC) has donated time and effort to help another neighboring school.
A group of employees from SMP Independence volunteered to paint the house of a local elderly citizen as part of the city’s LOVE Independence Day in April!
