WYD – Who’s Your Daddy Charity Golf Outing
The name derives from humor and being a Father’s Day event.
SMP employee, James Sierra started this event after having 4 close friends lose their fathers within 2-3 years of each other.
One of those men (Gregg Slupski) was James' best friend’s father and like a father.
James wanted to create an event as a way for participants to remember and honor the men in their lives who made the greatest impact on them.
In the registration form they ask every team to mention someone in their life who’s made a significant impact on their lives, and they honor those men.
The names of these men are placed in our event (day of) brochure for all to review.
The first year (2021) they had 32 golfers because James did not advertise much and was not doing this for charity.
After the first year it was decided to make this bigger for the next year and James started investigating charities he felt deserved fundraising.
James saw a commercial for Tunnel to Towers and immediately googled what they do. He got contacts and the T2T Team welcomed our event to represent their mission.
The 2022 outing had 84 golfers and we raised $3,000.00
The 2023 outing had 1289 golfers and we raised 7,500.00
- SMP was a major sponsor and donated $1,000
- SMP also covered the cost for a Trombetta foursome to join the outing
- Trombetta MKE donated $500
The 2024 outing has 96 golfers and we raised $4,500
- SMP was a major sponsor and donated $1,000
All sponsor donation contribute to Golfer experience.
- Gift(s), Fundraising prizes, Food, Advertising (signs & banners), etc.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to Tunnel to Towers to help provide aid to those in need.
Tunnel to Towers is a foundation that helps the families of fallen first responders, fallen veterans, as well as injured first responders, and veterans.
