Spirit of Giving - Edwardsville, KS

During the fall months of 2019, Edwardsville was very busy trying to do our fair share for the local community. We accomplished this through a school supply drive in August, conducting a food drive during Thanksgiving and Christmas, and "adopting" two families for Christmas. We are proud to be able to play a part in the education of our youth and to help those in need who are traveling through troubled times. We donated the food to Vaughn Trent Community Service, which is an organization that helps those in need in our area. Facility wide, we collected 1,193 non-perishable items between six teams with Team Matt (Thanksgiving) and Team Tim (Christmas) winning the friendly competition. As a way to thank our employees, the winners received a pizza party. The adopted families were very thankful for the kindness that SMP employees showed during the holiday season. SMP Edwardsville rose to the occasion once again. Thanks to all who participated and helped contribute positively to our community
