Foster Care Donations | Independence
Every April, Independence, KS has a week-long celebration called “Love Independence.” During this week, businesses and organizations choose different projects to participate in that will help beautify and benefit the city of Independence and its residents. SMP-Independence did four total projects this year for Love Independence.
The first project involved collecting induvial packaged snacks and toiletry items for foster kids. We gave all items that were collected to our local foster care agency, TFI. They were very grateful for our help. The kids and teens in foster care will use these items as they go into new homes or when waiting between visits.
